Radiographic Exposure Calculator for Ir.192

On this post I want to share a simple exposure calculator for Ir. 192. One is base in CuMin table and the other one is base on thickness factor.

"This calculator was developed base on CuMin Table, first used when the author was with OIS Abu Dhabi in 1984. It is very easy to use, using simple calculations.

On this version (V1.3), The table is modified by the author. CuMin values are now based on thickness factor, film factor of 40 and for film density of 2.5."

"This calculator was developed base on Thickness Factor, first used when the author was with ECCO-Asia in the Philippines as NDT Trainee in 1980. Most radiographers has these table on their pocket, it is very easy to use, using simple calculations.

On this version (V1.3), The table is now removed by the author, as calculation are only limited by thicknesses given on the table. Instead it is now replaced by YELLOW BOX for thickness factor values against thickness input.

Thickness factor values are based on thickness multiplier and constant value for film factor of 35 and for film density of 2.5."

Real time UT Simulator

I started this blog October last year, I was not able update ever since. No excuse but I am back.

On this post I have chosen the Genesis Gold UT Simulator.

Permanent record digital recording kit is simulated to provide a visualization of sound travel for mechanized (AUT) and corrosion mapping. ”

I have seen first time this software at NDT Cabin back then the author was introducing it and you can download it for free. Then it was re-introduced at auto-ut.com for a trial period and should you like the software you can buy it. To date the site is now restricted, how ever the software is available for download at several software third party market. It’s available for trial/demo period of 15 days or you can buy the full version.

The software didn’t change much except that auto-ut module is added. There is also a version called Genetest. I find this software great it has always been on my laptop ever since. It is good for actual practice with out the UT instrument and test pieces.

It is limited to 15 days trial/demo period, not unless you want to purchase the software to avail for updates and other options. I could show you how to reset the trial/demo period using the popular registry cleaning tool Trial-Reset.

" Trial-Reset is a registry cleaning tool. The main function of Trial-Reset is to remove the keys generated by commercial and freeware protector. Trial-Reset do not crack the program but only extend the Trial Period. "

Genesis UT Simulator uses ExeShield protector. Trial-Reset is not smart enough to determine which key is for which software on your system. Not unless you are an expert in registry cleaning care should be observed in deleting registry files. It is very important that you select and remove only the four keys associated with Genesis Gold UT Simulator generated by ExeShield Protector.

Method:

Once Genesis Gold UT Simulator number of days remaining has reached to zero all you have to do is run Trial-Reset.


1. Select the ExeShield Protector icon, Scan.


2. Four Genesis ExeShield Protector keys found. Select the first key.


3. Select edit tab, and clear key to delete


4. Select the next key and repeat the process until all keys are deleted.

5. Close the window.

Number of days remaining should now be reset to original 15 days when you start Genesis. This could be done very time number of days remaining reaches to zero. This way you could use the Genesis Gold UT Simulator Trial/Demo version for as long as you like.

The software was not cracked, all that was done was to clean your computer’s registry. Registry cleaning is normally done to remove obsolete and conflicting registry left out by software that are uninstalled.
